        <h2><a name="kanchor109"></a>License Manager-Specific Actions</h2>
        <p>The following actions affect License Managers:</p>
        <h3>To see information of a License Manager</h3>
        <p>Click the name of a License Manager in the left-hand pane of the main 
 window. In the right-hand pane of the display, you see the IP address 
 of the computer containing the License Manager and its host name.</p>
        <h3>To add or remove a License Manager from the Defined Server List </h3>
        <ul>
            <li class="Bullets_1" value="1">To add a License Manager - Right-click the name of a License Manager in the list of Subnet Servers. From the menu select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Add 
 to Defined List</span>. </li>
            <li class="Bullets_1" value="2">To remove a License Manager - Right-click the name of a License Manager in the list of Defined Servers. From the menu select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Remove from 
 Defined List</span>.</li>
        </ul>
        <h3 class="SpacedHead">Tip</h3>
        <p class="SpacedPara2">Alternatively, you can add and remove License Managers using the <b>Edit &gt; Defined Server List</b> option.</p>
        <h3>To add a license code to the License Manager using keyboard </h3>
        <ol>
            <li class="Numbered_Steps" value="1">Right-click the 
 name of a License Manager in the left-hand pane of the main window. From 
 the menu select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Add Feature</span>. To 
 add the license by typing in the license code, select <span style="font-weight: bold;">From 
 a String</span>.<ol><li class="Bullets_Circle" value="1">To add the license code to the License Manager memory, select To <b>Server</b>.</li><li class="Bullets_Circle" value="2">To permanently 
 add the license code to the License Manager license file as well as to 
 the License Manager memory, select <span style="font-weight: bold;">To 
 Server and its File</span>.</li></ol></li>
            <li class="Numbered_Steps" value="2">Type the license 
 code in the <span style="font-weight: bold;">License code</span> box.</li>
        </ol>
        <ol start="4" style="list-style: decimal;list-style-type: decimal;">
            <li class="Numbered_Steps" value="3">Click <span style="font-weight: bold;">Add</span>.</li>
        </ol>
        <h3>To add a license code to the License Manager from a file </h3>
        <ol start="1" style="list-style: decimal;list-style-type: decimal;">
            <li class="Numbered_Steps" value="1">Right-click the 
 name of a License Manager in the left-hand pane of the main window. From 
 the menu select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Add Feature</span>. To 
 add the license from a file,  select <span style="font-weight: bold;">From 
 a File</span>.<ol start="1" style="list-style: decimal;list-style-type: decimal;"><li class="Bullets_Circle" value="1">To add the license code to the License Manager memory, select 
 <span style="font-weight: bold;">To 
 Server</span>. This will add the license code temporarily to the License Manager 
 memory, only in effect until the License Manager is rebooted.</li><li class="Bullets_Circle" value="2">To permanently 
 add the license code to the License Manager license file as well as to 
 the License Manager memory, select<span style="font-weight: bold;"> To Server and 
 its File.</span> This will add the feature both temporarily to the License Manager 
 memory and permanently to its license file.</li></ol></li>
            <li class="Numbered_Steps" value="2">Now, select the 
 license code file.</li>
        </ol>
        <p class="SFNT_Note">The option <span style="font-weight: bold;">Change 
 Log filename</span>—used for changing a usage log file—has been removed since the v8.5.3 release. To create the usage log file, use the <a href="License_Manager_LSERVOPTS.htm">License Manager configuration option</a> instead. </p>
        <h3>To configure a redundant License Manager file</h3>
        <p class="NumberedList">From the Edit menu, select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Redundant 
 License File</span> to start the WRlfTool utility. For information on 
 using WRlfTool, see <a href="Wrlftool.htm">Using 
 WRlfTool to Create or Edit a Redundant License File</a>.</p>
        <p class="SFNT_Note">In order to 
 change the redundant license file, you must have write-access to the computer 
 on which the file resides.</p>
        <h3 class="h3_noOutlineNum">To edit the Reservation File</h3>
        <p>A reservation file defines groups of users or computers for whom license 
 tokens can be reserved. The reservation file also can be used to exclude 
 specific users or computers from using certain licenses. </p>
        <p>From the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Edit</span> menu of WlmAdmin, 
 you can select the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Reservation File</span> 
 command to call the WlsGrMgr utility to create a new reservation file 
 or edit an existing one. For information on WlsGrMgr and reservation files, 
 see <a href="WlsGrMgr.htm">Editing 
 the Reservation File on Windows (WlsGrMgr)</a>.</p>
        <h3>To shut down a License Manager</h3>
        <p>Right-click the name of a License Manager in the left-hand pane of the 
 main window. From the menu select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Shutdown 
 Server</span>. </p>
