        <h1>Installing a Non-Redundant License Code</h1>
        <p>Use the <span style="font-weight: bold;">lslic</span> utility to install
 the license code in the license file on the same computer and in the same
 directory in which the License Manager resides. By default, the license
 file is named <span style="font-style: italic;">lservrc</span>, and it
 may contain multiple license codes. </p>
        <p>Check the ways listed below and install the non-redundant license code
 using the one that suits you. </p>
        <ul>
            <li class="Bullets_1" value="1">To install the license
 code, at the operating system command prompt type:</li>
        </ul>
        <p class="code" style="margin-left: 80px;">lslic -A license-code</p>
        <p style="margin-left: 40px;">where license-code is the string of characters
 given to you by your vendor. If you do not include the license code after
 the -A option, lslic asks you for it.</p>
        <h3 class="SpacedHead"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tip:</span>
        </h3>
        <p class="SpacedPara">If you need the licenses to be added to a remote host, set the LSFORCEHOST
 environment variable on the computer on which you are using lslic to the
 host name of the computer containing the License Manager to which you want
 to add the license code.</p>
        <ul>
            <li class="Bullets_1" value="1">If your vendor has given
 you a license code file to install rather than a string of characters
 to type, at the operating system command prompt, type:</li>
        </ul>
        <p class="code" style="margin-left: 80px;">lslic -F
 filename</p>
        <p style="margin-left: 40px;">where filename is the name of the file given
 to you by your vendor.</p>
        <p>Both of these commands install the license code permanently. lslic provides
 other ways to install a license code. For example, you can add the license
 code temporarily to be in effect only until the License Managers are restarted.
