<p>Once you have been given a license code it must be installed where it
can be found by the RMS license management system. </p>
<p>For a stand-alone application, usually the license code is installed
in the same directory as the application. Your vendor may provide you
with a program to install the license code. Alternatively, the vendor
may have configured the licensed application to install the license code.
If neither of these is the case, then the <a href="Using_lslic_to_Install_License.htm">lslic
utility</a> may be used to install the license code on a Windows or UNIX
 computer. </p>
        <p class="SFNT_Note">If your vendor
has configured the application itself to install the license code, then
a license installation utility will guide you through obtaining a license
code and getting a locking code. You may be presented with several different
options for obtaining the license code, including using the Internet,
calling your vendor on the telephone, or using a fax or email service.
